We reserve the right to add, delete, and modify our policies (Terms and Conditions) at any time without prior notice. You are encouraged to review these Terms and Conditions each time you visit our web site.
All purchases, with the exception of paint & finishing products, seasonal merchandise, special order items, clearance and sale items, and floor samples may be returned within 14 days of receipt for a refund minus all applicable delivery and shipping fees to you and from you.
Please contact us for instructions and return address BEFORE you return an item.
Returns must be in new condition and in original packaging and cannot be tainted in any way. Merchandise exchanged for same items due for reasons other than manufacturer defects will be subject to a 10% restocking fee and re-delivery and / or shipping fees. A Period House representative may select reasonable replacements for items that have been discontinued. All exchanges or returns, except for manufacturer defects, are subject to re-delivery and / or shipping charges. Refunds may take up to 30 business days for processing.
Clearance items, sale items, and floor samples are extraordinary values. They are sold "as-is" and cannot be returned or exchanged. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. All clearance and floor sample items must be paid in full at time of purchase.
If the item you ordered is not in stock, then your order is in a back-order status. If your order contains multiple items and part of your order is not in stock, we will hold your order until your entire order can be shipped together.
If you would rather have each item shipped as it becomes available, we will do that as well. You can indicate your preference during checkout.
Special order merchandise typically requires 14 to 90 days to be manufactured. The actual time frame will depend on the item purchased. A Period House associate may provide you an estimated delivery date but no time frame for completion can be guaranteed.
Special order merchandise is manufactured to your specifications, e.g., color, size, etc. Due to the unique character of custom order pieces, CANCELLATIONS ARE NOT PERMITTED. If you do not accept delivery you forfeit 50% of the item purchase price plus all shipping costs associated with your order.
The collection of sales tax is required for sales and shipments to addresses located in the state of Ohio. Our online store calculates a tax rate of 7% for OHIO addresses only.
The Ohio sales tax requirement varies from county to county. If an adjustment to the sales tax is required, we will do so when your order is processed.
You are responsible to ensure that your new furniture and accessories will fit in the desired room, as well as through doorways, stairways, elevators, and hallways.
Wood: Our products are constructed with a variety of responsibly sourced woods. Paints and stains may take differently to various cuts of wood, and color may vary. The wood will "breathe" and, with varying humidity levels, expand and contract. This process may lead to seasonal movement (slight separations in the wood that come and go). Natural products with these characteristics are not defective and cannot be exchanged for the same item.
You may optionally pick up your pre-paid order at our warehouse in Mason, Ohio. All merchandise must be picked up within 14 days of notification that your order is ready for pickup. Unless other arrangements have been made, merchandise not picked up within 14 days will be subject to a storage fee.
Customers are responsible for bringing proper help to load merchandise into their vehicle. The Period House will not be responsible for any damage caused during loading, unloading, or transporting merchandise to customer's home. All packing, wrapping, and securing materials must be provided by the customer.
Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items on our website may be mispriced. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order, refund your payment and notify you of such cancellation.
